Jazz in the Meadows is
just TOMORROW—on Saturday, February 25. Sixty-five jazz bands from schools across the nation will converge on Rolling Meadows High School to compete and entertain with over a hundred performances. As you might imagine with such a large event, we need lots of volunteers. There’s a huge variety of tasks that need to be done to support the students, the school, the judges, and the performers. three weeks ONE WEEK away
Do you like the outdoors? Direct traffic and help with security.
Do you like food? Sell refreshments.
Do you like Microsoft Excel (and who doesn’t)? Tally the scores.
Do you like talking? Announce the bands.
Do you like entertaining? Provide hospitality to the judges and performers.
Do you like wearing clothes? Sell T-shirts.
Do you like
ordering helping people? Usher and give directions.
Bonus: Admission is FREE for volunteers. You’ll receive celebrity, red-carpet treatment when you say “Volunteer” and breeze past the ticket line. (Bring your sunglasses to shield your eyes from the paparazzi’s flashbulbs.) Okay, actually, you’ll register at a separate volunteer table, but it’s near the ticket sales table, and you’ll still look cool.
Please sign up to volunteer for Jazz in the Meadows 2012. We can’t manage this excellent event without you. (Really.) Parents, students, relatives, friends … everyone’s welcome and encouraged to volunteer. (If you’ve already signed up, thank you, and please take this opportunity to verify that you’re scheduled for the correct tasks and times.)
If you have any questions, please contact the Jazz in the Meadows Volunteer Coordinator, Linda Tam, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
