WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Our organization would not be a success if not for the many volunteers who donate their time towards helping our students.  We ask for volunteers throughout the school year, in a variety of roles and time commitments.  We are trying to give a little snippet of what each role means - check back often for updates (and maybe even new roles!).  We start with our easy, "worker-bee" roles within the Music Boosters (volunteers) - and then more details follow with our committee chairs, Jazz in the Meadows committee chairs, and executive board roles!

Chaperones for Competitions and Trips

We need chaperones for the fall marching band competitions,  and Spring Break trips (in even-numbered years). To be a chaperone you need to be fingerprinted by District 214 (more info below) It costs $35 per person and the Music Boosters will reimburse you. Please contact Mr. Hile if you are interested.

Please note: If chaperones are going to ride with students on buses to an event with the music department, District 214 requires them to be fingerprinted. There are no exceptions. Processing takes a little time, so if you plan on chaperoning any events, you need to let us know now and allow sufficient time to get fingerprinted, processed, and approved.

Only District 214 fingerprinting will be accepted, even if you’ve been fingerprinted by your employer or another school district. Your fingerprint information remains current as long as you do not have a lapse between students attending Rolling Meadows High School.

*****VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT*****

Each year our needs for volunteer roles can change.   Here are some of our key roles that are needed:

Sewing & Mending:
Once the uniforms are fit and measured, they needed hemming and adjustments so our students look great. This role is usually needed most August - October.  You won’t be alone, but if you or possibly local grandparents can lend a hand during the year – we need you!

Chaperones
Part of the requirements to be a chaperone is to be fingerprinted and screened by District 214 - and this takes a bit of time.  The Music Boosters will reimburse for the fingerprinting.  Please contact Mr. Hile (click here for email) if you are interested.

Reimbursement

If you have qualifying Music Boosters expenses, please print this form and submit it along with receipts - either paper or email after scanning - to any member of the Executive Board,  Mr. Hile, Mr. Carroll or Ms. Walsh.
