The Rolling Meadows High School Music Department presents its ANNUAL SPRING BAND CONCERT on Tuesday, May 22, at 7:30 PM in the RMHS Theater. Tickets will be sold at the door for $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens.
The Spring Band Concert is the final concert performance venue for the jazz program. Thus, the concert will feature performances by the Jazz Band II, Jazz Ensemble I, and both the Purple and Gold Jazz Combos. The director is Christopher Buti. He is assisted by Joshua Stewart. Some of the titles of pieces to be performed are: The Chicken, Blue and Sentimental, Who are the Captains Here, El Bandito, Haitian Fight Song, Riverscape, Boppin’ to P-Town, Sing Sang Sung, and Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano. In addition, a number of awards will be presented. Within many of the pieces, there will be numerous students improvising solos. This concert is always very fun and extremely enjoyable!
