Great Lakes Scrip Gift Cards

Great Lakes Scrip is a fundraiser that provides gift cards and certificates from local and national retailers. They are the same gift cards available in stores. Retailers such as Jewel, Mariano’s, Meijer, Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Carson’s, Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Starbucks, Home Depot, Menard’s all participate in the program, along with dozens of others.

Put your shopping dollars to work. Earn money for the student’s account without spending anything additional. Purchase gift cards from stores that participate in the Great Lakes Scrip program and use them for your every day purchases, all while earning money for your student accounts. Grocery, clothing, entertainment, and household goods can be purchased. Great Lakes Scrip gift cards make great gifts for birthdays, or anniversaries, or house-warming parties, or…. Every gift card purchase earns a percentage of the purchase price for your student account. Students receive the percentages that are listed on the sheet.

Please download and fill out the order form below, include a payment (checks made out to RMHS Music Boosters), and return to Mr. Buti or Mr. Carroll by the deadline.

Orders are due Thursday, November 2nd. You can pick up gift card orders in the North Cafeteria on Monday, November 13th.

Pick-Up Time now 9 p.m. for Sandwich Competition, Marching not likely

Schedule Change & Weather Impacts Sandwich Competition

The Renegade Invitational Contest at Sandwich High School today has finalized its schedule, moving the Marching Mustangs’ performance time to 4:15 p.m.  (It originally was set for 5:15 p.m. on some earlier schedules.)  This means that pick-up time is now 9 p.m., back at RMHS, which is an hour earlier, too.

In addition, we have received word that the Sandwich football field is very wet and it is not likely that any of the bands will be marching today, and the competition will become a standing-only event.  The band typically stands on the track in concert formation for the show with the color guard forming a “shell” around the band and performing as much of its routine as possible while standing in place.

Good luck, Marching Mustangs, on your final competition of the 2017 season!

STUDENT FUNDRAISERS

The RMHS Music Boosters are offering a number of great fundraisers before the holiday season.   This gives students an opportunity to earn money that can go toward the Spring Disney trip.

Many parents and students have asked for something new, so this year we are offering Dip Mixes and Meat Snack sticks as an alternative fundraising opportunity. Sales of these items began October 6th and orders are due November 2nd. Order forms have been passed out to students.

Cheesecakes and SCRIP gift cards (formally Manna gift cards) are once again being offered to students and make great holiday gifts and treats. Sales of these items will begin October 20th and orders are due November 2nd.

Online sales for Yankee Candle are still open and can be found at https://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/home.htm

With a number of choices this fall, students can pick an item that they feel most comfortable selling. Students do not have to participate in any fundraising but it is a great way to earn money for your student account and expenses related to the music program, including the Disney Spring trip.

Profits on the various programs vary:

– Cheesecakes sales earn students $6 profit for every one sold
– Scrip gift cards earn a percentage that can range from 5% to 15% of the card value
– Meat snack sticks earn $0.45 on every $1 snack stick sold
– Dip mixes earns $2.50 for every$5 packet sold

– Yankee Candle earns 40% profit on each order

Additional information can be found on the Boosters web site under the fundraising tab or in the sales flyers provided to students.

Pick up for cheesecakes, gift cards, dip mixes and snack sticks will be available Monday November 13th in the RMHS cafeteria. Time to be announced.

Volunteers Needed for Robert Morris Marching Invitational this Sunday, Oct. 8

Marching Mustangs need volunteer help for
Robert Morris Invitational competition this Sunday, Oct. 8

The Marching Mustangs’ next competition is the Robert Morris University Marching Band Invitational which is being held from 12:45 to 5 p.m., Sunday, October 8, at Forest View Education Center.  Our performance time is set for 3 p.m. on the football field.

Band members need to arrive at the RMHS Band Room by 11 a.m. that morning, and we need LOTS of help and support to make this entire day a great success from beginning to end.  From loading and unloading the larger instruments on the buses to chaperoning, filming the competitive performance, and providing water bottles for the band, there are all kinds of ways to help out, have a great time and get to know other Booster parents.  Many families often drive ahead to the school and cheer on the Marching Mustangs to victory, too!

Please check out the volunteer slots below and sign up for whatever you are available to do:
