Spring Band Concert this Wednesday, May 10 – Ticket Sales help needed

Come hear the Rolling Meadows High School Concert & Symphonic Bands play their final concert of the 2016-17 school year.  This concert features both bands plus a final combined number and offers an opportunity to commemorate and say a fond farewell to our graduating seniors.  And with any luck, the marching show for the Fall 2017 season will be revealed!

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., this Wednesday, May 10, in the RMHS Theater, and we will need 2 people to help with ticket sales.  Check out the opportunity here and sign up if you can help:

Manna & Butter Braid Pickup, Monday May 1st

Manna Gift Cards and Butter Braid orders are to be picked up on Monday, May 1st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the north cafeteria. The Butter Braid product is frozen, so please be sure to have this date on your calendar, because we have no way to store frozen product.

RMHS MUSIC BOOSTERS MEETING, WEDNESDAY MAY 3rd

Please join us for the May meeting. It is being moved to Wednesday the 3rd to align with the Jazz class schedule.

We will be taking final nominations for elected officers for next year’s RMHS Music Boosters executive committee. Elections will take place immediately after nominations close at the May RMHS Music Boosters meeting.

RMHS Music Boosters positions up for nominations:

The President. Shall preside at all meetings of the organization, develop meeting agendas and act as a liaison between the RMHS Music Boosters and the Music Directors. They shall also be a member of all committees.

The Vice President. Shall assume the duties of the President in the absence of him or her.

The Treasurer. Shall keep an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements, showing each activity separately as well as a complete record of all funds. The Treasurer and President shall be authorized to handle all financial transactions as directed by the organization. Financial records shall be kept in a proper financial record system.

The Secretary. Shall keep records of minutes of all general, special, and Executive Board meetings and perform other duties as the office may require.

Along with the elections, we will begin to make plans for the year end activities. We meet near the back of the cafeteria in the Faculty Lounge at 7pm.

Butter Braid & Manna Orders Due

Please remember to turn in your Butter Braid and Manna Gift Card orders (and money) by  this Friday, April 21. Orders should be picked up on Monday, May 1, from 5 to 7 PM in the RMHS south cafeteria. If you have any questions or you’re unable to pick up your Butter Braid order, please contact Cindy Bieda at (847) 632-0309 or dbieda5931@gmail.com to make other arrangements since we don’t have facilities to store them.

Manna Gift Cards & Butter Braid Return!


Back by popular demand… Butter Braid & Manna Gift Cards! That’s right, we are running these 2 popular fundraisers again to help students earn some funds for their student accounts. Get a head start to raise money for the 2018 Spring Break Music Trip to Orlando, FL!

Earning potential is different for each Manna card. Every Butter Braid sold earns $5.20.

You can find both order forms below.  The sales run now thru April 20 (Manna) and April 21 (Butter Braid).  All forms and monies will be due to your director by 2pm on the assigned dates.  No late orders will be accepted. Orders will be available for pick-up on Monday, May 1, from 5-7 PM in the RMHS cafeteria. The product is frozen, so please be sure to have this pick up date on your calendar because we have no way to store frozen product.

LAST CHANCE to buy tickets to ‘Something Rotten’ for July show

LOTS of people have requested tickets and it is not too late for you to get tickets, too.

Did you enjoy seeing “Something Rotten” in NYC?  Want to see it again on Broadway in Chicago?  Or do you just like going to the theater?  If you answered “Yes” to any of these, then join us at Chicago’s Oriental Theater this July!

Here are the two possible dates RMHS Music Boosters might attend together: Wednesday, July 12 or Thursday, July 13; the curtain goes up for both shows at 7:30 p.m.

Please e-mail Michele Shalton with your interest in reserving a spot(s) no later than this SUNDAY, March 19 – we have extended the deadline.  Be sure to let her know which day you prefer, how many and what type of tickets (Adult and/or Students) you will be purchasing.  Majority will determine the date.  We need 25 people to commit to get a group discount on tickets. $25 each for Adults and $18.50 for Students. There might be slight additional charges for tax and service fees.

This opportunity is for buying into a group package only.  You will need to provide your own transportation to the theater either on your own or car pooling with others. 

Once Michele gets confirmation that enough people are interested, she will confirm the date and request payments so she can purchase the tickets.
