This Tuesday’s Symphonic Band Festival needs hospitality help
Come hear the Symphonic Bands of Elk Grove, Prospect & Rolling Meadows high schools as they share music at the annual District 214 Symphonic Band Festival.
This free concert begins at 7:30 p.m., this Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the RMHS Theater, and we will need a few volunteers to make the evening complete as we host guests from across the southern half of District 214. Volunteers will set and clean up a refreshment table and help store the RMHS musicians’ tuxedoes and dresses at the concert’s completion. Check out the opportunities at the SignUpGenius link below and help out wherever you can.
And Please Volunteer for Jazz in the Meadows!
Now less than 2 weeks away now on Saturday, Feb. 24, the RMHS Music Boosters will host its most important fund-raiser of the year, the 33nd Annual Jazz in the Meadows, the largest high-school competitive jazz festival in the Midwest!
And we need LOTS help to make this the great event that it is each year! A SignUpGenius spot is now up and ready for you to browse the more than 130 jobs/time slots that need to be filled for Jazz in the Meadows. You will find it here:
The 130+ volunteer slots are divided by Tabs at the top of the page into various areas of service throughout Jazz in the Meadows. They include in no particular order:
- Bus Greeters & Band Ambassadors
- Ticket Sale & Finance
- Information & Volunteer Office/First Aid
- Emcees & Door Monitors
- Concession & Souvenir Sales
- Scoring Office
Under each Tab are descriptions that break down all of the positions where volunteer support from parents is needed. Please browse through each Tab and enter your name everywhere that you are able to serve.
It is hoped that an adult from each band, orchestra and color guard family will be able to volunteer for at least 2 hours for Jazz in the Meadows. If you have any questions about a particular position, please contact Tom Toussaint, our Volunteer Coordinator, at email@example.com.
