Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps schedule

For those of you who are not aware, Drum and Bugle Corps are private organizations that are like marching bands, except they only have brass, percussion, and color guard. These groups travel around the country all summer long performing at various high schools, college, and professional football stadiums. The season winds down with the World Championships on August 14 (this year) in Indianapolis, IN. As with most other high school marching bands, our halftime/competition show will be similar to these Drum Corps programs. There is a theme that is present throughout the music, drill moves, and flag choreography. Nothing can beat viewing and hearing a live performance of these powerful groups. If you have never seen or heard a marching band or a drum corps show, this is an opportunity that you don’t want to miss. Furthermore, by attending, you can do a write-up on the event that will count as your CONCERT CREDIT assignment for the first quarter! I highly recommend that you go see the event with your friends, family, and/or other band members. It will truly inspire and amaze you (and is a great way to get psyched up about learning our show)! Hope to see you there. For more information on this type of activity, check out the Drum Corps International Web site at dci.org.
