Tonight’s Marching Band Family Picnic will be in the RMHS Football Stadium from 5:30 to 7 PM and not the cafeteria as previously posted.
Following the picnic, there will be a (free) performance from your students as they show you what they’ve learned during this week of practice.
If you are attending, please bring a food item to share. Last names A-M brings salad and N-Z brings dessert. Please also visit volunteerspot.com to let us know that you are coming and how many in are in your party.
We also need volunteers to help with grilling, set-up, serving, and clean-up. If you are interested, please click the same link above and sign-up!

Due to the severe cold weather and all District 214 schools closed on Tuesday January 28th, the special Jazz in the Meadows meeting has been cancelled. At the next regularly scheduled Booster meeting, February 4th, we will focus on the final details of the festival.
In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns please contact Laura Pike, Chris Buti, Kevin Carroll or Mat Krawczyk.
Please join us tomorrow, October 1, for the monthly RMHS Music Boosters meeting. We meet near the back of the cafeteria in the Faculty Lounge at 7pm.
A few of the things we will cover this month are the last two marching competitions of the season, Junior High School band night and the Fall Music Concert. By joining us tomorrow you will hear first hand details about many of the other things going on with the music department this month.
At booster meetings we work closely with the directors in helping to plan and support such things as band competitions, all music department concerts, trips, camps and Jazz In the Meadows. Throughout the year there are many opportunities to help out a little or help out a lot. We need the assistance of all parents to make this happen.
The RMHS Music Boosters is a great way to become involved with your child’s music experience throughout High School while helping support the music program overall.

By now, all orchestra students should have received the summer mailing for the orchestra camp which is scheduled for Monday, August 12-15 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In the event that you did not receive the mailing, it included the following documents: Summer Orchestra Letter, Health History & Travel Consent Forms, and Orchestra Fees Form. Please make sure to return these documents along with your fee payments at the first day of camp. Also, if you have not already done so, please take a moment to fill out the Spring Trip interest form online here: Trip Interest Form. This is very important to our planning of our 2014 Spring Trip to Orlando, FL!
