Have you enjoyed the smell and taste of freshly baked cookies at the home Football games? Many of us do and we really need help this year in keeping that tradition alive. If you love to bake, or organize people baking, or love to talk to people who love to bake, we could really use your help. The previous cookie baking chairperson left a great foundation that we need to continue to build on, but without some help, the cookie ovens will remain cold this year.
If you can help set up but not stay all night, let us know and we can work with you. If you only have a few hours after work and can step in to help after things get rolling, great we need your help. Maybe you are only available to run to the store and pick up the cookie dough, that is OK because we can use that help also. If this opportunity is calling to you and sounds like this is a perfect fit to help volunteer with, we want to hear from you.
Please reach out to the Mr Buti, Mr Carroll, Mat Krawczyk or Tom Toussaint.
Our first home game is August 25th. Let’s keep the ovens hot this year!
2017/2017 RMHS Music Boosters President
The current rep is retiring this year. Would you like to learn and take over this job?
Use Excel to maintain a spreadsheet detailing money students earn through fundraising and money they withdraw to pay for music department-related expenses. Except for collecting money at the semi-annual garage sale, the Student Accounts Rep does not handle money, but rather inputs earnings reported by the fundraiser coordinators. Contact email@example.com to learn more about the job and its time commitments.
The holidays are here and the RMHS Music Boosters have several ways for you to help make our holiday concerts extra special and at basketball games to help raise funds for our many programs that support the orchestras and bands at RMHS.
The Holiday Band Concert is this Thursday, December 8, and Pep Band season begins the next night, Friday, December 9, with both the Purple and Gold bands playing for the Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity Basketball Games as the Mustangs take on Wheeling.
Next week follows with the Holiday Orchestra & Choir Concert on Tuesday, December 13, and then another set of basketball games vs. Prospect on Friday night, December 16.
Here are the links to each event for your convenience:

Basketball Game/Cookie Sales – Friday, December 9

Please help us out in any way that your busy holiday schedules will allow, and we want to thank you for all you do for the RMHS band and orchestra students.
Wishing you very happy holidays!

We still have 10 positions to fill for Sunday’s Fall Concert, so as you’re watching the Cubs hopefully make history tonight, please consider helping us out at tomorrow’s 3 p.m. concert in the main gymnasium.
Here is where you can sign up to help out:
Thank you, in advance, for your ongoing support and, as always, for being so willing to help us out!

The Marching Mustangs’ final competition of the 2016 season is the Renegade Invitational MusicFest and will be held from 1:50 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 16, at Sandwich High School. Our performance time is set for 6:15 p.m. on the football field.
Band members need to arrive at the RMHS Band Room by 1:15 p.m. that afternoon, and we need LOTS of help and support to make this entire day a great success from beginning to end. From loading and unloading the larger instruments onto the buses to chaperoning, filming the competitive performance, and providing water bottles for the band, there are all kinds of ways to help out, have a great time and get to know other Booster parents. Many families often drive ahead to the school and cheer on the Marching Mustangs to victory, too!
If you have not had a chance to volunteer this year yet, please check out the volunteer slots below and sign up for whatever you are available to do before our marching season comes to a close.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and all you do for the Marching Mustangs!

There are two great opportunities to see the Marching Mustangs in action this weekend. The first is tomorrow night at the home football game. This also happens to be junior high band night, so you’ll get to see and hear the future Mustang musicians.
The other opportunity is at the Knight of Champions Marching Band Competition at Prospect High School. The Marching Mustangs perform their show, Desert Winds, at 5:45. Many of the top area marching bands will be in attendance putting on terrific shows at the height of their seasons. Click the link for more specific details about the day: Knight of Champions
Volunteers for both events are always welcome and encouraged. If you are interested in helping, check the Volunteer page and sign up.
Marching band camp is next week August 1 – 5, and we are in need of volunteers to help with uniform fittings and serve dinner after they’ve been practicing all day. If you are able to help, please go to the Volunteer page, scroll down to the Band Uniform Fittings & Dinner Serving, and click the sign-up button or click this link: Marching Mustangs Band Camp
On Friday, August 5, there’s a picnic for the families of ALL MUSIC STUDENTS—not just the marching band, so pass the word! After the picnic, stay to watch the first public performance of this year’s marching competition piece. We’re using signupgenius.com not only to track volunteers, but also to get an idea of how many people will attend the picnic. Whether you want to volunteer or just socialize, please visit the Volunteer page, scroll down to the Summer Band Camp Picnic entry, and click the sign-up button or click this link: Summer Band Camp Picnic
